Spring flavours at meal times
The weather may still be a bit unreliable in May, but the temperatures are gradually rising and with each meal time we’re replacing our comforting slow-cooker winter recipes with lighter spring flavours. Here are a few of our family favourites.
We love these smokey barbeque pork skewers. The pineapple chunks remind us of cheese and pineapple sticks at parties, and they’re really quick to prepare in advance. Plus if the weather isn’t on your side, you can always grill them in the kitchen.
Lemon ice-cream cake
For something sweet and simple, this recipe for lemon ice-cream cake is perfect. We can’t wait to wow our guests this summer, and cool them down with this tangy treat.
This frittata recipe is brilliantly versatile - kids can choose the flavours and help cook the recipe, and the leftovers and perfect for picnics.
As soon as the sun starts shining we reach for our salad recipes - and this roasted squash, quinoa, avocado and feta salad sounds perfect.
And if you fancy a night off from cooking, hand over the apron to your little chefs with our favourite child-friendly recipes!
